Workflow

Three Steps to a Better Tune.

01

Upload Datalog

Drag and drop your VersaTuner CSV. The parser maps headers, handles format variations, and validates every field.

02

Analyze & Visualize

Time-series overlays, MAF correction curves, and VE heatmaps render instantly. Lean anomalies at 4,500 RPM are flagged automatically.

03

Export to VersaTuner

Copy calculated MAF and VE values directly into your tune. Tab-delimited output matches VersaTuner's map editor format.

Capabilities

Built for the Renesis.

Every feature is purpose-built for the unique characteristics of the 13B-MSP rotary engine.

MAF Calibration

Automated 2D MAF scaling with 0.02V voltage bins. Filters for steady closed-loop and calculates correction from combined STFT, STFT2, and LTFT.

VE Matrix

3D volumetric efficiency heatmap. 500 RPM by 10% load bins with extended axes up to 250% for forced induction builds. Lean anomaly flagging built in.

Ignition Split Analysis

Leading minus trailing timing split mapped across RPM and load. Identifies ignition advance patterns and flags cells deviating from expected split ranges.

Safety Diagnostics

Knock retard detection and peak injector duty cycle monitoring across the entire operating range. Overstressed cells highlighted automatically.

AFR & Fuel Trim Tracking

Actual vs desired lambda deviation heatmaps and closed-loop fuel trim grids. See exactly where your tune is running rich or lean by RPM and load.

Oil Metering & Engine Health

OMP actuation diagnostic with target thresholds at high load. Plus idle settings analysis, fan strategy monitoring, and downloadable VersaTuner logging presets.

Setup Guide

What to Log in VersaTuner.

Add these PIDs to your VersaTuner logging profile to get the most out of RenesisLab.

Engine

Engine RPM- Eccentric shaft speed
Absolute Load- Rotor chamber filling density
Relative Throttle Position (%)- Throttle blade position
Accelerator Pedal Position (%)- Driver pedal request

Airflow

Mass Air Flow (g/s)- Air mass flow rate
Mass Airflow Sensor Voltage (V)- Raw MAF sensor reading

Lambda / AFR

Actual Equivalence/Air to Fuel Ratio- Wideband O2 exhaust reading
Desired Equivalence/Air to Fuel Ratio- Target from ECU maps

Fuel Trims

Short Term Fuel Trim (Primary Sensor) (%)- Immediate fuel correction
Short Term Fuel Trim (Secondary Sensor) (%)- Secondary O2 sensor trim
Long Term Fuel Trim (%)- Learned fuel offset

Temperature

Engine Coolant Temperature (°C)- Thermal monitoring
Intake Air Temperature (°C)- Charge air density

Ignition & Oil Metering

Ignition Timing Advance - Leading (°)- Leading spark advance
Ignition Timing Advance - Trailing (°)- Trailing spark advance
Metering Oil Pump Position- Oil injection rate (fractional)

Tip: These are the exact PID names from VersaTuner. Column order in your CSV does not matter - headers are matched by name automatically.
